Injury FAQ's

Very Important: If you or someone you love has been injured because of the negligence or deliberate actions of someone else, it is important that you speak to an attorney as soon as possible. The law allows you only a limited time in which to take legal action and if you wait too long, you will lose your rights.

As a lawyer, one of the most difficult parts of my job is trying to put a dollar value on an injury suffered by my client. It is difficult because money can't heal a body, erase a scar, or replace a day spent playing ball with your kids.

Unfortunately, money is usually the only thing available to try to make a bad situation right. And for all it cannot do, money can provide the medical treatment and financial security that injured people need.

When I accept a personal injury case, my goal is to get my client as much money as possible. Not because I'm greedy, and not because my client is greedy - but because I can't put a price on the pain my client has suffered.

That often means taking the case to court. Some personal injury attorneys take on tons of cases and settle them as quickly as possible. They take cases that they have no intention of taking to court.

I don't do that. I will not accept a personal injury case that I am unwilling to take to a jury. Don't get me wrong, most cases settle before trial and settlement is often the best outcome for everyone involved. But I have found that cases settle more favorably when we are ready and willing to go to trial - and the other side knows it.
